19th Century. New England origin. Wool braided rug in nice muted colors with a bittersweet red and tan linsey woolsey padded center. Also with applied linsey woolsey tongues along outer border. All hand sewn and stitched. With some expected wear from age but overall in very good condition. Measures 48" by 40" oval.
